AESTHETIC
v Aesthetics comes from the Greek word meaning aesthesis
feeling, a sense of feeling or taste. In the process, Munro said that the
aesthetic is a way of responding to stimuli, especially through sensory
perception, but also associated with mental processes, such as associations,
understanding, imagination, and emotion.
Science of aesthetics is a science which studies all things related to beauty,
learning all aspects of what we call beauty.
Reasons
People Want to know Aesthetics
v First, because the works of art and design of natural
and man-made so valuable that studied the characteristics typical for the sake
of art and design itself.
v Second, he must argue that the aesthetic experience
(the experience of art and design) is so valuable both for the group and its
members so that each work of art and design that should be studied especially
animated.
v Third, it may be supposed that this experience is so
valuable in itself and thus require testing and research on quality quality art
and design it.
There are
two theories about the beauty, that is:
v Subjective
v objective,
v Subjective beauty is beauty that is in
the eye can see.
v Objective beauty beauty put on the
object being viewed.
Character
animator who succeed are:
v Have technical skills.
v Understand the nature of the materials
v Understand the needs of many
v Always wanted to know
v Sharpness see
v Initiatives
v Happy and competent
v Trust
v Honesty
v Attention to the risks and be accountable for his work
v Collecting the data
v Diligent and understand the purpose.
There are
some things that need to be considered in planning animation, among others:
1. The requirements specified in the union (animators,
production, and marketing)
2. Match of the principles of science with computer
engineering and equipment / machinery production
3. In accordance with the environment (local communities)
or on a particular segment.
4. Match character animation from one section to another
section
5. The possibility of animation and how to solve them.
Aesthetics
Verbal
Verbal aesthetics is an aesthetic quality that was born
because of a merger between the various alternatives and criteria restrictions
or verbal planning. Different verbal aesthetic visual aesthetic.
When the visual aesthetics, beauty derived from the outside that led to the
composition, while the aesthetic beauty of the verbal is leading the work of
the meaning behind the display or symbol or symbols attached to the side of the
visual
The
animation is a visual aesthetic strategies or steps that must be done in the
creation of animation to produce works that have a high sense of aesthetic.
Visual
aesthetic is a science that convey a visual (visible) in the animation of
color, shape, form, space, motion with a variety of creative approaches
including experimental composition, rhythm, harmony and so on.

Technology :
Esthetics
Technology is an aesthetic quality that is created through a process
that emphasizes
technology on the implementation of technology course (machine).
After
the animation to work so (movie), then change the aesthetic value and to work
together, which can be grouped into four groups of aesthetic values, namely:
1. Objective value, the value of a work of animation is
the physical condition and quality of work that can be explained rationally.
2. Relative value, that value is the value associated
with the preference caused by the attitudes, feelings, tastes of each
individual.
3. Subjective value, the value of the interpretation of
fact by every person in observing a work of animation.
4. Utilitarian values are values that have utility as an
attempt to fulfill a purpose.
Aesthetics Industry
Aesthetics in the animation industry is a complex and
lead to the development of certain modelling based on practical needs.
Animators in the industry environment is always hunted
the time in making the work of animation, because the demands of marketing /
orders.
Communication Aesthetics
Communicative aspect should be kept in the animation.
When the work is less communicative, meaning the work is not successful, or
something made to the audience / community (audience) will not be up.
In order to get to the animated audience, it must be
concerned about the character, movement, stories, and so forth as well as the
targeted segment as the target .
TYPE - TYPE OF ANIMATION
Animations are divided into broad categories, namely:
1.
Stop-motion
animation (stop motion Animation)
2.
Animasi
Tradisional (traditional 2D Animation)
3.
Computer
Animation (3D Animation, computer graphics)
4.
Combination
Animation
Animation stop-motion claymation is sometimes called
for in its development, this type of animation often uses clay (clay) as an
object in motion.
Techniques stop-motion animation was first discovered
by Stuart Blakton in 1906; of facial expressions by drawing a cartoon character
on a chalkboard, were photographed with a still camera, then removed for the
next drawing facial expressions.
Stop-motion technique is often used animation in
visual effects.
TRADITIONAL ANIMATION
Traditional animation techniques animation is the most
commonly known today. It is so called because the traditional animation
technique is used at the time of animation was first developed.
Traditional animation is also often called cel
Animation, because technique performed on the process of celluloid tranparent
glance very similar to OHP transparencies that we use.
Cel Animation then also called 2D Animation.
COMPUTER ANIMATION (3D Animation)
As the name implies, this animation is done computer
overall. Through camera movement, the whole object can be shown in 3
dimensions.
An example is the Final Fantasy movie. In this film
the characters appear so real and looks capable of almost matched the motion of
human movement.
COMBINATIOIN ANIMATION
1. The combination of 2D & 3D is a joint attorney-2D
with 3D animation techniques. An example is the film The Road to Eldorado,
Titan AE
2. 2D & Live-Shot is a joint attorney 2D animation
techniques with Live Shot (Shooting Scenes). For example in the movie Space
Jam, Osmosis Jones.
3. Live Shot 3.3D & 3D animation technique that is
merging with Live Shot (Shooting Scenes). For example in the movie Jurassic
Park, Titanic, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Stuart Little, Scooby Doo.
PROCESS ANIMATION CELS
In general, engineering / manufacturing process
animations divided into 3 phases:
1. Pre Production
2. Production
3. Post Production
PRAPRODUKSI
ANIMATION
In brief, pre-production that determines the story idea and then
sketched some scenes important to the story in manuscript form.
Storyboard and then made to translate the script into a more detailed
story. Character figures and background are made early. Then make the
alignment.
Then do a Test Shoot, which is a short series of images that are
rendered in full color and movement techniques to ensure renderingnya.
The script is a story concept that must be made in narrative form
Script and Storyboard is the basic foundation of the
whole animation process.
Production stage is the process of preparing all the elements involved in a
production (audio) film / video.
From start to setting the budget, election of directors, actors, cameramen,
crew, locations, equipment, costumes / wardrobe and others.
Idea & Concept Selection.
Is a realization of an idea of thought and ideas that
aim to put into visual and audio media.
Story Line / Synopsis.
Is a summary of the story / film, a form of
contraction of a film by taking into account the elements of the film's
reflection. a synopsis is an effective way to present a long essay in the film
short form.
PRODUCTION
Animation methods are often used:
1. Straight Ahead Animation: animation methods that use
only one image of the movement to other movements in a sequence that developed.
2. Planning Pose Animation: the animation using the key
or the extreme poses.
3. Planned Animation: a system using the same animated
image on a different scene. This system is often used in making a cartoon
series for TV shows because deathLine to be done in making the TV series.
4. Cycle Animation: celluloid use of the system length
(12 inches) to describe the movement repeated.
5. Limited Animation: animation systems that divide the
image of a character in accordance with the needs of a scene.
3D ANIMATION PROCESS
As the name implies, this animation is done computer
overall.
3D animation process requires relatively simpler than
the 2D animation (cel Animation) because all processes can be directly executed
in a computer software.
Mostly the 3D animation process can be divided into 4
phases:
1. Modeling
2. Animating
3. Texturing
4. Rendering
1. Modeling
This stage is the creation of objects that are needed at this stage of
the animation. This object is used to form primitive objects like sphere
(ball), cube (cube) until the complete object as a character and so on.
There are several types of material objects that are tailored to their
needs:
1. Polygon,
2. Spline
3. Metaclay.
2.
Animating
The process of animation in computer animation does
not require the animator to make in Between as they do in traditional
animation.
The animators simply specify / create alignments to
the object to be moved. After keyframing process is created, the computer will
calculate and make their own inBetween automatically.
3.
Texturing
Characteristics of this process determines a material
object in terms of Texture. For a material object itself, we can apply certain
properties such as reflectivity, transparency, and refraction. Texture can then
be used for a variety of colors mencreate pattern, the level of smoothness /
roughness of a layer of objects in more detail.
4.
Rendering
Rendering is the process by the end of the whole
process of computer animation. In rendering, all the data already entered in
the process of modeling, animation, Texturing, lighting with certain parameters
will diterjemaahkan in a form of output. In the PAL standard system, the
resolution of a rendering is 720x576 pixels.
MAKE BASIC ANIMATION TECHNIQUES
In the technical discussion in the making of animation
which we will use is to use macromedia flash software.
Macromedia flash software is a software to create
animations that match the level used by vocational students.
This is due to flash a working environment that is
very easy to use. Flash work environment
Tools Required
Equipment necessary to support the work of creating
animation using macromedia flash is:
